Abstract
The course of Modern Turkish History is a must course in the high education in Turkey. The lecturers and the students have some expectations about the contents, method and techniques of the course, in which the features and sensitivity of Modern Turkish History is tired to comprehend, is also important for the aim of the course. For this purpose, a pool was taken by Ataturk Institute for Modern Turkish History in the Hacettepe University, to determine the requirements and supply them and to make the young Turkish students conscious of Modern Turkish History. So, with the results of this study it is aimed to light the way for new rapprochments about history teaching.
