The Independent State of Hatay's Founding in Light of Documents

Abstract
Hatay, otherwise Sancak, has been left to the French occupation with the Mudros Armistiche. Then, it was put under the French mandate by the United Nations. The French mandate in Hatay ended in 1936. Upon this, it entered into the precess of independence, particularly with the continuing and decisive efforts of Atatürk. The policies of Turkey towards Hatay determined the its future and at the of the process, it gained independence. It took its place among the independent nations as Republic of Hatay.
