Abstract

This study is concerned with Bosnia and Herzegovina's gaining independence on 1th March in 1992 after the fall of Yugoslavia, the attitude of Turkey towards the independence. Therefore, to make the topic more understandable, there is information about the ending of cold war, the fall of Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and Yugoslavia in the introduction part of the study. The main body of the study lays emphasis on the process of Bosnia and Herzegovina's independence and reveals information on what happened during this process and followed by Turkey's foreign policy. The second part of the study sheds light on the attitude and reaction of Turkey towards the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The last part of the study offers the conclusions drawn in light of the gathered information.
