Abstract

During the Republican era, the young State of Turkey, on a special significance, as one of the social issues of interest and attention to stop the "population" is the problem. Although the role of the population phenomenon in the economic development of the new state is handled and handled in some works of general quality; The effects of the Turkish revolution on its political formation, social, political, and cultural goals are not adequately addressed and processed. However, it is known that the population of the country has an important place in terms of quantity and quality in the core of the main factors that determine the original aspects of the historical phenomenon called the Turkish revolution. So much so that; referring to the former administration of the State in the form of young Turkey is fundamentally different approach to population phenomena; it can be said that this difference is seen as a requirement of being a 'national state'. Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the national Turkish state, said: "We did not wish to make an administration with the Anatolian people, but an enthusiasm and futile for the great empires." it criticizes past administrations for failing to evaluate the phenomenon of population in a realistic way and for the wrong and imaginative policies they implement. At the same time, in this new phase of Turkish history, the importance given to the population phenomenon is emphasized in 'national' policies that have nothing to do with the old policies.
