Abstract

One of the important reforms carried out by Atatürk is that he removed the madrasa as a phase of modernization in education and provided the unity of Education. This was accomplished by the law "Tawhid-I Tedrisat", i.e., the Union of Education, which was adopted in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey on 3 March 1924.
