The Establıshment and Actıvıty of Odemısh People Houseın Modernızatıon Process

Abstract

The most important feature of people Houses established in 1932 from the point of early period of Turkisn history has been the activities of explaining the prıncipal s of Kemalist reforms to people practically with the easiest way. It has beeeb noticed that new living ways have been formed with Kemalist reforms consideringthe feature of the districts where people houses were established. In the early years when reading and wrıting rates were very low, economic problems were seen highly, people houses have been the key of social and cultural developments with a great organization. This has got a more different meaning to the province. Kemalist reforms, republican values, modern appearance of social and cultural lives have been understood by means of people houses also in Odemish, a big town in Little Meander River basin, in the West Anatolia.
