Abstract

The theme of this paper is twofold: First, the realization, signifıcance and influences of Amasya Circular, a Circular appeared in Amasya in 1919, which is regarded as the "Birth Certificate of Republic"; and, the second, what Mustafa Kemal happened to live and experience during the period of Turkish War of Independence after Mondros Armistice (1918), which begins with Mustafa Kemal's arrival to Amasya from Samsun, and continues with His igniting the inİtial Turkish War of Independence fervour among people.
