Martyrs of Çanakkale Battle From Hendek

Abstract

As it is known, Çanakkale battle occupies an important room in the history of recent age Turkish era and world history. This is a big military organization and the people of Anatolia and other cities such as Sakarya in the Ottoman geography also took place. Hendek supported this great military event by sending troops tothe fronts. Sakarya and Hendek region played an important role during the war due to its geographic location. Many People in Hendek district in Sakarya Province were martyred in many fronts during the First World War and The War of Independence. In the records of the martyrs, the names of them, the dates and the places they were killed are available. In this study, martyrs from Hendek are searched these martyrs are handled from different perspectives based on the death records by probing several sources.
