The Opinions Of Academicians On Atatürk’s Principles And Revolutionary History Course (Problems & Solutions)

Abstract
Atatürk Principles and Revolution History lessons serves the purpose of continuing the existence of the Republic of Turkey. In the course should be to eliminate existing problems for achieve the aims on the desired level. In thes context, "Atatürk Research Centre" organized a workshop to identify problems of "Atatürk Princkiples and Revolution History Lesson" on 2-4 February 2011 in Antalya. To determine the views of academicians for the "Atatürk Principles and Revolution History Lesson" conducted with 62 academicians. Descriptive case study method was used based on means testing. Based on the findings of the research, the academicians in general were found to be glad to teaching of "Atatürk Principles and Revolution History" lessons. Academicians generally used to "lecture" and "question & answer" teaching techniques in their lessons. Many academicians expressed that their course content was not enough as it is given and should be given face to face as much as possible. However academicians, participated in the workshop, should be emphasized the teaching staff must have professional qualifications, positive personal trait and national values.
