THE PEOPLE’S HOUSE IN DINAR’S SOCIAL AND CULTURAL LIFE

Abstract

People's Houses founded on 19 February 1932 were very important institutions that played a crucial role in terms of social and cultural life until 1951. People's Houses put their signatures under important successes in impressing reformation upon people and in building a developed society whereby task forces formed systematically spread in a short time and went into action in many cities and counties. One of these counties was Dinar. Dinar People's House, founded in 1935 and went into action with five offices, performed studies such as benefit performances, village travels, health investigations, helped ill people and students, protected youth from harmful habits and organized various sportive actions with the purpose of impressing values of the new Republic upon people and created a modern society as well as playing other crucial roles between 1935 and 1951.
