Abstract

Atatürk's arrival in Ankara is one of the important events of our War of Independence. Before Mustafa Kemal Pasha left Istanbul, Ali Fuat Pasha decided that Ankara was the most suitable center for the national struggle. They decided that Ali Fuat Pasha, who was appointed as the 20th Corps Commander, should have his Corps transferred from Konya to Ankara as soon as possible. According to this planning, Ali Fuat Pasha had transferred his Corps to Ankara in March and placed him in Sarıkışla. The events that took place until Ataturk's arrival in Ankara formed the rings of a chain whose strength increased as they were added to each other. His superior leadership, command, trust in his nation, and forward-looking organization played an important role in the formation of this chain. With the Amasya declaration, "The integrity of the country and the independence of the nation are in danger; He declared the independence of the nation to the whole world that the nation's determination and decision would be saved. The principles of national struggle were laid out in Erzurum and Sivas Congresses. With the Amasya meetings, the Istanbul Government had to recognize and cooperate in the national struggle in Anatolia.
