Abstract

One of the sources that can be used in public opinion research is undoubtedly the press. A study will be made on Turkey and the Turks, the British public, but it is possible to examine the writings of British newspapers and periodicals. It is accepted that researching all British newspapers and periodicals requires a very long time. For this, we will try to give information about the newspapers published throughout the country by choosing from the British press. We will not include the local press in our article. There is only one thing about this, and that is the Manchester Guardian. This newspaper is a very strong local newspaper and has a reputation equivalent to the "National Press" published throughout the country. We will also not include evening newspapers. The London press will be the main material of the research and especially the Quality Press will be featured in the newspapers published in London. We think it is natural that; "Quality press, both newspapers have shown an interest very close to Turkey with both periodicals and inform the British public about the developments in Turkey. In the first part of our article, we will give information about the British press between 1923 and 1938, and in the second part, we will give the index. We think it will be beneficial in terms of saving time for those who will study and research on this subject. We think there is emerging on to say that all of the articles we examine the benefits for the period of Turkey's index will still give.
