Abstract

After long and arduous last Independence War victories result, leaders who conduct this war, especially Ataturk, sought answers to these basic questions: "Turkey can how developed, how it should be pursued an economic policy to attain as soon as possible to the public welfare?" To understand this, the Economic Congress convened in Izmir on February 4, 1923. Mustafa Kemal Pasha opened the Congress, which was chaired by Kâzım Karabekir Pasha, with a speech and emphasized the importance of the economy, the economic development model and the wrongness of the economic policy followed up to us. The main views of Atatürk in his speeches at this congress and then elsewhere were as follows:
