Abstract

Atatürk's principles and reforms have a universal nature. Ataturk's ideas and thoughts only have found almost all over the world not only in Turkey and its repercussions have been expressed by different people at different times. In order to consolidate and develop the principles of Atatürk, it is carried out both in Turkey and abroad with different activities. One of these activities, which is an indicator of the universality of Atatürk, is the meeting organized by the Atatürk Association of America (Atatürk Socıiety of America) on 19 May 1995. Speaking at this meeting, Turkish friend Senator Robert Byrd also expressed his universality by saying that Ataturk 's principles should be strengthened.
