Abstract

As it is known media is known as the 4th power all over the World. Media has been used for directing, and informing the folks. Abdurrahman Melek was among those who used this power.

For this purpose, he wrote up several articles in Yeni Mecmua issued in Antakya. İn nearly all his articels he tried to put up a relation with health. He also tried to reflect his professional experience in his writings. Moreover, through political messages, he wanted to inform and raise awareness in the society of İskenderun province about several issues.

The extent of this article is limited only with the writings of Abdurrahman Melek in Yeni Mecmua. The purpose of this article is to introduce the writership of Abdurrahman Melek, the prime minister of Hatay State, to the world of science.

12 of Melek's 15 articles show the property of editorial. His first writing was issued on May 15, 1925, while the last one on October 8, 1934.
