The Role of Haci Bedir Aga in National Struggle and the Activities in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey

The aim of this study is to reveal the role of Hacı Bedir Ağa in the National Struggle and his activities in the GNAT. Hacı Bedir Ağa, who had large lands and a large tribe in the Adıyaman region, supported the National Struggle and Mustafa Kemal Pasha. Hacı Bedir Ağa, who stopped Ali Galip and his friends who tried to prevent Sivas Congress, made a great contribution to Antep and Urfa defense. Hacı Bedir Ağa, who personally participated in these struggles, was injured in Antep defense. Hacı Bedir Ağa, who received the Medal of Independence for his achievements, served as a deputy for three consecutive terms. He served as deputy of Malatya in the first and second periods of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. In the third period of Parliament, he was the representative of Kars. In 1927, Hacı Bedir Ağa, who supported Mustafa Kemal Pasha in the parliamentary work, died in Tarsus.
