Abstract

After the Ottoman State defeated in the World War I had signed the Mondros Treaty, national organisations started to be formed country-wide against possible occupations. One of them is Isparta Müdafaa-i Hukuk Cemiyeti organised in Isparta. The Cemiyet immediately began its activities upon the information of the Greek occupation of İzmir. In the meantime, the Greeks living in Isparta were in secret communication with the Greek Government and army. As their letters were taken hold, members of Isparta Müdafaa-i Hukuk Cemiyeti started to take strict precautions against the Greeks living in Isparta.
