Kayseri People’s House and Its Activities During Atatürk’s Period

Abstract
Founded on 19 February 1932 to bring the Republican regime and revolution to the public. People's Houses were cultural institutions which played important roles in educating the people in accordance with the principles of the Republic during the years 1932-1951. Kayseri People's House was opened on 24 June 1932 and between the years 1932-1938 with the intensive care of Great Leader Ataturk conducted important tasks in expounding the principles of the Republic to the people and enlightening the people. Between the years 1932-1938 Kayseri People's House took further steps in becoming the people's house and conducted important services and activities. Kayseri People's House was abolished by the Law numbered 5830 published on the 11 August 1951 dated Official Gazette by Democrat Party.
