Accusatıons To The Natıonalıst Movement In The Era Of Damat Ferit Paşa Governments

Abstract

The Nationalist Forces struggled not only with the Allied Powers but also Damat Ferit Paşa Government and opponent press in the National Struggle Era. As a matter of fact, Sultan Vahdettin and Damat Ferit Paşa Government used most of their efforts to prevent the Nationalist Powers who were struggling with the enemy in Anatolia. The opponents accused the Nationalist Forces of being supporter of Committee of Union and Progress Party, Bolshevist, rebellious, irreligious etc. They tried to prevent the public's joining to the movement and by this way they wanted to criticize the Nationalist Movement easily without public support. Although propagandas against the Nationalist Forces caused partial anarchy, they were unable to reach the main goal.
