Abstract

The Law National Protection (Millî Korunma Kanunu) was fırst implemented in Türkiye during the Second World War. This law was then reesacted in 1956 by the Democrat Party Government which came to power with an agenda of liberal economic policy. The Democrat Party Government, however, employed this law to intervene into Turkish economy more effectively than before. The D.P.'s economic policy under the law brought into the economic system many limitations similar to those of the single party period.
