Abstract

After Mudros Armistice was signed and put into effect, the occupations started to occur in yarious parts of the country. The negative attitute of the Sultan and İstanbul Government, attracted enourmous reactions of all patriots especially that of Mustafa Kemal Pasha. When Mustafa Kemal Pasha started his activities to inform the people in Anatolia of this unfavourable condition, the Government had difficulty in explaining their wrong and coward policies. They chose the 'Yeni Gazete' -a newspaper- to make their ideas public and have an effect on people and made use of this newspaper to reach this end. They did not refraİn from using ali the facilities of state to make this newspaper be read and their ideas be known by the public.
