Abstract

Turkish liberation movement started in 1919, in 1920 the opening of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, in 1922 the conclusion of the War of Independence, the signing of the Treaty of Lausanne in 1924 and has gone through several stages such revolutions. It can be evaluated that the first goal of the Turkish liberation movement, which was initiated with the fall of the Ottoman Empire, was the establishment of an independent national Turkish state, and the most important goal that came after it was modernization. The second aim of this movement, modernization, requires continuous development and being contemporary in every age.
