Abstract

Atatürk' s Principles and Revolutions ( alphabet reformation, cloth reformationn, civil law, surname reformation, ete. ) performed after the foundation of Turkish Republic, were adopted by Cyprus Turkish society quite rapidly, who were under the rule of English Colonial Regimen at that time. Because changes such as Alphabet reformation, cloth reformationn, civil law, surname reformation, ete. does not require law , they were immediately practised by Cyprus Turks. With the relations founded and developed between Turkey and Cyprus Turks at the time of Atatürk, Cyprus Turkish society got more interested in Turkey about subjects such as education and training, language and culture and also Atatürk' s Principles and Revolutions was expanded and rooted in Cyprus. Especially eloth reformation and women rights were among the reformations that were adopted most easily and rapidly by Cyprus Turks. it was even observed that there was a faster development about this subject there than there was in Turkey. Women took place in social life and adapted to the modern life style brought by Atatürk' s Revolutions through the organization of both Cyprus Turkish press and public opinion and Cyprus Turkish women.
