Oriente Moderno Magazine in Turkey (1921-1922)

Abstract

As is known, the Turkish independence war against the invaders in Anatolia has been closely followed by the European public. In this framework, in Italy, which occupies a large region in Southwestern Anatolia Region with great expectations, the National Struggle movement was followed with some concern and sympathy. Oriente Moderno, one of the leading Italian magazines of the period, is the monthly publication of the Eastern Institute (Istituo per L'Oriente), founded on 13 March 1921.
