The Reactions of Izmir's Invasion Incident in Thrace

Abstract

The invasion of İzmir by the Greeks has an important place in the start and organization of our National Struggle. In this article, after briefly explaining how I prepared the Izmir invasion, we will try to focus on the reactions of the occupation event against Thrace and the occupation of Thrace, the only defender of Thrace, in the face of the occupation of Izmir. was met with a reaction in Thrace as well as in Anatolia. With the news of the occupation, Trakya-Paşaeli Müdâfaa-i Heyet-i Osmaniye tried to awaken and mobilize the public with activities such as taking protest telegrams to officials and organizing rallies in order to support the occupation.
